All roads have reopened on M5/M4 link at J16 (Almondsbury Interchange).
The hard shoulder remains closed on the M5 south to M4 west link due to damage caused by the incident.
Lane closures will be in place later to repair the damage.
There are no delays on the approach.

The slip road from M5 north to M4 west has reopened.
The slip from M5 south to M4 west remains closed for emergency barrier repairs.
There are no delays on to the approach to the scene.

The westbound M4 has reopened and traffic is flowing.
All slip roads from M5 to M4 west remain closed.
Traffic caught within the M5 closure is being released.
There are delays of up to 25 minutes on the approach to M4 J20.
Update 2: M5 at J16 (Almondsbury Interchange).
The westbound M4 between J20 and J22 is now closed due to the severity of the incident.
All slip roads from M5 to M4 west remain closed.

Update 1: M5 at J16 (Almondsbury Interchange).
Due to a collision, traffic can’t join the M4 westbound from either direction.
Traffic is also held on the M4 westbound & M5 southbound to allow emergency services to work at the scene.

Due to a road traffic collision, traffic can’t join the M4 westbound from either direction on the M5 at J15 (Almondsbury Interchange).
Congestion is currently light, but it’s expected to increase.

⚠️ M5 J21 #WestonSuperMare - From 3 September: 50mph speed limit & average speed cameras live through the St Georges Bridge works.

Due to an incident in Avonmouth by Costco, we are currently experiencing delays of up to 1 hour.
Services 10 and 11 will be terminating at Akeman Way until further notice and not servicing the village.
