Cycle training
Cycle training can help you improve your riding skills, giving you the confidence to cycle safely.
Bikeability is the national cycle training programme, funded by Active Travel England and delivered by qualified, registered and DBS-checked National Standard instructors. More information about the national programme may be found here: www.bikeability.org.uk
Wiltshire Council offer Bikeability training for children and young people in full-time education. Training is delivered at 3 levels:

Usually covered in a traffic-free environment. Anyone completing Level 1 will be able to demonstrate the skills and understanding to be able to make a trip and undertake activities safely in a traffic free environment.
Level 2
Covered on quiet roads but with real traffic conditions. Anyone completing Level 2 will be able to demonstrate the skills and understanding to be able to make a trip safely to school or elsewhere on quiet roads.
Level 3
Prepares riders to ride in more challenging road and traffic situations, such as busier streets, queuing traffic, complex junctions and roundabouts. It also includes planning routes for safe cycling. Riders must have completed Level 2 prior to Level 3.
