From 1 January 2025 the price of single bus fares will the capped at £3. However, fares for short journeys will be less, while if you are making longer journeys some bus companies sell return tickets, which offer better value.
If you are making lots of journeys in one day a rover ticket might be best, either for one bus company, or for the whole of Wiltshire and to towns in neighbouring areas.
If you are travel often, then a multi-journey or season ticket could offer you best value.
Some offers are listed HERE or just ask your bus driver.
Councillor Martin Smith, Cabinet Member for Highways, Streetscene and Flooding, said: “Throughout 2026, all single bus fares in Wiltshire remain capped at £3 or less, giving residents and visitors great value when travelling across the county. This makes travelling by bus an affordable, convenient and sustainable way to get to work, enjoy local attractions, visit friends, or discover somewhere completely new.”
